So far this year more than 38,000 people have signed up for FREE guidance, meal plans, recipes, shopping lists, troubleshooting tips, etc., via the two-week low-carb challenge.

Hi,

I’m so glad I opened your web page, I’ve been searching for a diet that would suit me for 2-3 years, as I’m overweight by 3.5 stone, or 50 pounds (23 kg).

So after I had read your article I got excited to give it a try and also to stick to it, which I did. The first 3 days I felt a bit hungry between meals but resisted eating, just drank lemon water, after the 3 days I didn’t have that hunger feeling.

Halfway into the second week I felt I could go without 1 meal but I kept to the 3 meal plan, with the result that in the 2 weeks I’ve lost 12 pounds (5 kg) which I’m so happy about and that is why I intend to carry on and see if I can shift another stone.

I want to give you a big thanks.

This was absolutely an awesome 2 weeks for me.

I went from a glucose blood test of 275 down to 135 by just following the meal plan of low carbs high fat diet.

I learned a heck of a lot about the importance of what we eat and how we eat it.

I have been weight training hard and heavy but my blood sugar would continue to stay above 250. It wasn’t until I came across the Diet Doctor web site that I learned that I can change and live a healthier life by learning how and what I need eat.

It was a fantastic way of introducing a new lifestyle to our household. My children loved the evening meals and I am slowly transitioning them to a low-carb breakfast as well.

I loved your 2-week challenge, the food was amazing & so filling!

I am continuing it for the forseeable future, mixing your foods with other lchf foods!

My only problem was I only lost 1 lb (0.5 kg) & 1.5 inch (4 cm) off my stomach which was very disheartening at times but I’m going to continue with this way of eating!

All I can say is Life Changing!

I did the 2-week challenge. What a difference! It has made such a positive impact on my life that I recommended this program to my closest friend who is now on his 3rd day of the program.

I came upon your website following an unfavorable report from my doctor regarding my blood glucose level. I did not take the doctor’s report lightly when she said “let’s call it what it is, you have diabetes.”

This diagnosis took me completely by surprise. I knew that I was slightly overweight, however I exercise 4-5 times a week and “thought” I was eating healthy. On top of that, no one else that I’m aware of in my family has ever been diagnosed with diabetes.

The doctor asked me during my visit if I would like to start on diabetes medication? She also went on to suggest cholesterol medication as well, even though my overall cholesterol level was “ok.” One of my readings was elevated, but overall she didn’t seem too concerned about the cholesterol.

The doctor stated that they recommend that everyone with diabetes take this additional medication as well for preventative measures. Although I appreciate the doctors attempt in looking out for my well being, I still hadn’t digested the fact that they were telling me that I was a diabetic. Not to mention that I am totally against taking any medication that isn’t absolutely a necessity, including aspirin! Since the doctor suggested another blood test (A1c) I told her that I would not take the medication until we look at those results.

I immediately went home and started my research. When looking for a healthy diet, I came across your website. The information and the testimonials were powerful.

I thought to myself, I have nothing to lose, so I immersed myself in your program.

During my research I found that the so called healthy items that I have been eating were anything but. I took an honest, hard look at my diet over the years as well and found that it was terrible. Terrible in the sense of not only the types of food that I was eating, but the frequency and amounts as well.

After two weeks of being in your program I have been able to maintain my exercise routine and in fact have increased the frequency and intensity that I work out and I have lost a significant amount of weight.

However, the biggest benefit and the reason I started this is that my glucose levels have dropped significantly! I am due for another blood test in late August. I intend to stay with this program and feel that I will have a completely different set of results this time. Results that will show that I am healthy and can maintain a healthy lifestyle without medication!

This program has truly been life changing for me. My family and friends are very supportive and are actually eating the same meals that I am preparing! It’s a win for everyone! I remain optimistic that I will continue with this healthy lifestyle and have no intention nor desire of returning to my old eating habits!

I now realize that we can live, act and eat however we want, but one must remember that there is a price to pay if done irresponsibly!

I am thrilled with the challenge pointed out to me by a college friend who also follows Diet Doctor.

MaxPaul told me about you, I signed up that day and the most exciting news is that my blood sugar numbers have fallen, in the two and half weeks from 149 to 100 this AM. I have a lab appt this Wednesday where I hope it will b proven that my numbers are indeed WAY down.

I’ve also lost 9 lbs. (4 kg) so I’m having a wonderful experience. I have shared the website many times and will continue to do so.

Thank you for the most complete information and all the recipes – that’s one of the things I liked most. While getting started we never know what to eat so to keep the guilt trips down.

I found the site easy to read through and all the answers I needed were there.

I thought it was great. Although I would’ve liked to have lost a little more weight, I still lost an average of 2.5 lbs. (1 kg) each week. That’s more than I’ve been able to lose on any program I’ve been on.

Of course I’ve accounted for the fact that I’m turning 50 in July and I’ve hit menopause. From what I’ve read, those two factors alone slow down weight loss. So I am not discouraged!

I’m going to stick with this new lifestyle and look forward to fitting into some beautiful dresses that I haven’t been able to wear in over 10 years.

The best part of this challenge is that I’ve encouraged three of my friends to do it! 😃 I posted my progress on FB basically to keep a record for myself and in turn inspired others – if that isn’t a motivator I don’t know what is!

I’m so happy that my MD suggested LCHF to me over a year ago and planted a seed. And I am so very thankful that your site was there for me when I was finally ready to take the plunge.

I can’t wait to see what my success will look like in the months to come!!

My husband and I did the LCHF two week challenge, and he lost 10 pounds (5 kg) and I lost 7 pounds (3 kg).

It was easy and neither one of us felt deprived or hungry.

Being that we live in Northern California, it is difficult to cook casseroles in the heat of our valley summers, so we improvise, using more fresh fish and low carb veggies.

It is a new way of thinking about food on LCHF and we both are so grateful we found this web site.

Well, I write in full honesty. It made me realize just how serious and real sugar addiction can be. Through the 2 weeks I explored your website throughly, and after watching Bitten Jonsson’s introductory videos about sugar addiction, I knew I needed more help and signed up for membership! I have suffered from bulimia and binge eating disorder my entire adult life. Now I am beginning to understand why! After 1 week eating LCHF I had lost over 5 lbs. After 1 week off (and it all began with just one ice cream bar that I was convinced would not cause a sugar binge… boy, was I fooled) I am up 10. So typical.

I have learned what a strong hold sugar has over me right now.

But for that 1 week I had a glimmer of hope. And so yesterday I pledged to try again. I have learned what a strong hold sugar has over me right now. And so for today, I will not have any. And I will carry on eating these wholesome foods, using the easy and surprisingly delicious recipe catalogue, and watching that number on the scale decrease as my energy and hope increases. I started this on Father’s Day. I want to be a success for my Dad, so that he might see me at my happiest and very best, and also gain encouragement from me that his own sugar addiction can be overcome, with God’s strength and your wisdom.

Glad I found it.Was on the 5:2 Diet (Fast Diet) and found I was gaining back most of what I lost on the Fast Days during my non-fast days. Followed that for 6 weeks and lost about 5 lbs so I was seeking an alternative when I researched the low carb diet. Over these 2 weeks I lost 6 lbs and am pretty happy with that. I am going to continue eating 20-30 grams of carbs a day until I reach my goal and then slowly add back some whole grains. Thanks for the follow up.


 

I was surprised how GREAT the recipes were and really didn’t have a problem missing my regular foods.The cauliflower pizza crust, the sauces, were wonderful. I will have no problem continuing on this diet.
